George Ngwane has been awarded his fourth Fellowship in his career as an academic, civil society actor and public intellectual. He was awarded the 2016 Commonwealth Professional Fellowship tenable at the Minority Rights Group International, London UK, where he shall be carrying out exchange research on Global Advocacy Programs and minority rights with special focus on Cameroon.
The Fellowship that began on 8th February 2016 at the Minority Rights Group Office, London shall last a couple of weeks. By becoming a Commonwealth Fellow in the UK, Ngwane is following in a tradition of over 22,000 individuals holding Commonwealth awards since the scheme began over fifty years ago. The Fellowship is funded by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) as part of its strategy to develop people and skills that will contribute directly to the development of their countries.
